How to fundraise for us

Our work benefits patients, their families and our staff throughout the local area and we rely on the support of the community to raise funds. If you are part of a community group, school, brownies or cubs pack, or you just want to get a group of friends together to fundraise for us and would like more information about how you can get involved, please get in touch and take a look at our Fundraising Guidance.

Community groups

Are you a member of a Rotary, Lions or other similar groups and would like to find out more about what we do, and how your support could do more for our patients and their families? We would love to hear from you and would be more than happy to come and talk to your group about our work, and the difference your support can make to the local community we care for.

Schools and young people

Fundraising in your school is easy and can be great fun. Whether you are a pupil, parent or teacher at a school there are many ways you can support patients and their families. From a non-uniform day to a sponsored bounce, anything goes as long as it is fun, and any donations are gratefully received whether you can raise £100 or £5,000 it all goes a long way to help our patients.

We greatly value the generosity of our corporate supporters and we are always looking for ways to create relationships and make a difference. A business that supports the community and Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity can realise positive benefits including enhanced employee engagement; positive PR; and a raised profile within the region.

Do you want to organise a big event for lots of people or arrange a sponsored walk? We are here to help you get your idea off the ground and support you to make your fundraising activity as successful as possible.

Whatever the occasion, dedicate your birthday, wedding or other special event to Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity. Set up a special fundraising page and ask for donations. Give your friends and family the opportunity to help us improve treatment and facilities for all departments and services at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

As a regular donor, you will make life changing differences to staff, patients and their families across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

Your contribution will help fund new equipment, training and services to enhance the environment for staff, and their families across the Hospital and wider Community.

Examples of how your donation could make a huge positive impact:

  • £5 could provide an activity pack for Children and Young People whilst receiving treatment
  • £10 could provide a DVD for our DVD library for inpatients
  • £50 could provide a Dementia Memory Box to enhance familiarity and comfort
  • £100 could provide Six Care Packages for Staff
